Program Analytics & Data Visualization Specialist
Overview
You will own the design and delivery of interactive dashboards and analytical products for federal health programs. Power BI is your primary tool, backed by DAX, Power Query, and GIS for geospatial insights. You report to program leaders and collaborate with data stewards and client stakeholders to define metrics and KPIs. What You'll Do10
- 1Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI for program stakeholders.
- 2Translate business and operational requirements into actionable analytics products with Power BI and DAX.
- 3Optimize Power BI data models and semantic layers for performance and accuracy.
- 4Build data transformation workflows with Power Query (M) and ETL/ELT processes.
- 5Conduct statistical and trend analyses to support program evaluation and decision-making.
- 6Perform geospatial analysis and visualization with Power BI mapping, GIS tools, and spatial datasets.
- 7Monitor data quality and implement validation checks to ensure reporting reliability.
- 8Collaborate with program leaders and technical teams to define metrics, KPIs, and reporting standards.
- 9Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities to improve analytics workflows and data discovery.
- 10Document data dictionaries, dashboard guides, and methodologies, and present findings to mixed audiences.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Public Health or Data Science preferred.
- 25+ years in business intelligence, analytics, or data visualization, with strong Power BI expertise.
- 3Experience with Power BI Desktop, Service, DAX, and Power Query.
- 4Track record of leading stakeholder sessions and delivering scalable analytics solutions.
- 5Proficiency in data modeling, dimensional design, and row-level security in Power BI.
- 6Experience with deployment pipelines and enterprise reporting architecture.
- 7Knowledge of data governance and quality frameworks in analytic environments.
- 8Demonstrated ability to mentor junior analysts and support delivery teams.
