Overview

Lead on-site surveys and inspections for industrial hygiene asbestos microbial projects. Prepare detailed field reports and adapt scope of work as needed. Serve as liaison between client and Project Manager while maintaining professional presence. Ensure compliance with abatement requirements and coordinate project execution.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Take the lead on projects when Environmental Health Specialists are assigned
  • 2Communicate vital project information to the Project Manager(s) ensuring seamless coordination and progress tracking
  • 3Conduct thorough reviews of contractor’s personnel certifications and medicals to ensure compliance with abatement requirements
  • 4Act as point of contact and meet with regulatory agents during surprise site inspections
  • 5Adapt the scope of work as needed in the field to accommodate actual conditions or changes that arise during project progression
  • 6Identify and secure necessary tools and equipment for each project
  • 7Perform air sampling clearances and on-site analysis of air samples while adhering to quality control requirements
  • 8Report progress of project and provide technical input to Project Manager
  • 9Assist with training and mentoring junior staff members sharing expertise and contributing to their professional development
  • 10Maintain knowledgeable and professional presence as representative of the organization during field work

Requirements10

  • 13+ years of experience as a Field Technician conducting field surveys inspections and assessments
  • 2Valid certifications required by state to perform assigned work
  • 3Bachelor’s of Science in industrial hygiene health and safety biological or physical science or equivalent experience
  • 4California Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) certification
  • 5Physical ability to stoop kneel climb crawl walk and stand for extended periods while performing sampling activities
  • 6Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
  • 7Pass background check annual medical examinations and OSHA-required respirator fit tests
  • 8Valid driver’s license reliable transportation and current auto insurance
  • 9Travel locally to assigned client and project sites
  • 10Background check and drug screening required before employment
