Overview
Constellium seeks an EHS Co-Op Intern to support maintenance and training of operating systems related to personnel health and safety. The role improves ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001 certification while conducting training and writing procedures. Candidates must wear PPE during audits and training sessions. This fast paced position offers exposure to knowledge and experience within a cutting edge automotive Tier 1 plant.
What You'll Do11
- 1Support internal and external EMS/EHS audits and tours inspections assessments
- 2Collect analyze trend data to identify issues and opportunities for continuous improvement
- 3Develop and deliver EHS training for employees focusing on environmental tasks
- 4Assist with closing 8D problem solving reports and corrective preventative actions
- 5Ensure Contained Hazards and EHS audit action items are closed
- 6Analyze energy usage to determine reduction possibilities
- 7Implement sustainable recycling programs
- 8Analyze data to improve environmental compliance
- 9Maintain up to date knowledge of ISO standards through research and collaboration
- 10Participate in team meetings to share findings and propose improvements
- 11Document all activities and outcomes for reporting purposes
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in progress or recent graduate within one year
- 2Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- 4Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- 5Detail oriented with ability to meet deadlines
- 6Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments
- 7Experience with sustainability practices and waste reduction
- 8Commitment to safety protocols and PPE compliance
- 9Experience with ISO certification processes
- 10Willingness to relocate to Detroit Michigan if required
