Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer, Cement Maintenance
Overview
You will own maintenance and reliability for cement plant equipment, including crushers, grinders, kilns, and material handling systems, at a large-scale facility. You will diagnose mechanical issues, support upgrades, and plan shutdown work. Collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to minimize downtime. This role offers immediate hands-on experience with Tabware and AutoCAD, with benefits from day one.
What You'll Do8
- 1Perform routine and preventive maintenance on crushers, grinders, kilns, and material handling systems to minimize downtime.
- 2Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues using structured problem-solving, implementing lasting solutions.
- 3Document all maintenance activities, including repairs and parts usage, in Tabware.
- 4Improve maintenance schedules and procedures to boost equipment reliability.
- 5Coordinate maintenance tasks with operations and other departments to avoid production disruptions.
- 6Support equipment upgrades and installations with technical input and hands-on help.
- 7Plan major shutdowns: prepare instructions, estimate labor, identify materials and tools, and set timelines.
- 8Adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety drills to foster a safe culture.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2Entry-level experience; recent graduates encouraged.
- 3Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- 4Basic understanding of electrical systems for industrial equipment.
- 5Basic understanding of instrumentation in manufacturing.
- 6Ability to analyze and solve problems with practical solutions.
- 7Strong attention to detail for maintenance and documentation.
- 8Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 9Proficiency with Tabware or similar maintenance management software.
- 10Proficiency with AutoCAD for technical drawings.
