Overview

You will own the electrical and control systems maintenance for a food manufacturing plant, ensuring production uptime and compliance with safety and quality standards. Working alongside mechanics and electro-mechanics, you will diagnose and resolve issues across Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi platforms, and coordinate training for shift teams. What You'll Do10

  • 1Maintain and update documentation for all electrical and control systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for the team.
  • 2Diagnose and resolve electrical and control-related issues in collaboration with mechanics and electro-mechanics, reducing downtime and improving efficiency.
  • 3Train and coordinate electro-mechanics across all shifts, fostering a skilled and responsive maintenance crew.
  • 4Troubleshoot and repair equipment offsite as needed, applying your expertise to unique production challenges.
  • 5Perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on batching and continuous process control systems, including AC/DC drives, servo drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
  • 6Inspect electrical and mechanical systems while equipment is operational, identifying potential failures before they cause outages.
  • 7Execute corrective and preventive repairs during downtime, following company and vendor specifications to meet production schedules.
  • 8Maintain secondary systems for steam, water, pneumatic air, electrical power, refrigeration, HVAC, and emissions control, ensuring plant-wide reliability.
  • 9Record all work accurately in work order and backlog systems, providing clear data for maintenance planning and compliance.
  • 10Respond to equipment failures independently or with a mechanic, restoring production quickly and safely.

Requirements8

  • 1AS/AAS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 2High school diploma or military training with practical experience in electrical and control systems installation.
  • 3Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software, plus preventive maintenance software.
  • 4Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control system design documents.
  • 5Working knowledge of control system projects, including machine layout, control drawings, P&ID, and troubleshooting for A/B-Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi.
  • 6Proficiency in basic and advanced math, including unit conversions, for maintenance calculations.
  • 7Competency in completing maintenance forms and documenting work performed.
  • 8Ability to read and interpret work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.
