Overview

This role owns troubleshooting and maintenance for PLC, AC/DC variable speed drives, and electrical controls in a high-volume manufacturing plant. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you join a team of shift electricians and technicians. You will lead preventive maintenance programs, support new technology introductions, and train maintenance electricians. The 12-hour rotating night shift (7pm-7am) offers direct-hire stability with a culture that values employee growth and internal promotion.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Troubleshoot PLC, AC/DC variable speed drives, and electrical controls to resolve production downtime.
  • 2Perform preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance on facility and production equipment.
  • 3Lead electrical projects run or supported by the maintenance department from planning to completion.
  • 4Support shift maintenance teams with problem solving and troubleshooting, including after-hour call-ins.
  • 5Enforce strict conformance to electrical code and OSHA safety requirements.
  • 6Drive improvements to preventive maintenance programs to boost overall equipment reliability.
  • 7Support the introduction of new technology into production systems.
  • 8Train and mentor maintenance electricians as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • 9Maintain departmental standards for safety, sanitation, and housekeeping.

Requirements9

  • 1High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred.
  • 25+ years of experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3Proven skills with PLC troubleshooting, AC/DC drives, and electrical controls.
  • 4Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
  • 5Strong math skills: compute rates, ratios, percentages, and apply SPC to quality processes.
  • 6Basic Microsoft Word, Excel, and Virtual Client proficiency for daily tasks.
  • 7Capable of visual inspection and technical material review including print specifications.
  • 8Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7am) on a rotating schedule and perform overtime.
  • 9Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively with teams and customers.
