Overview

You will own uptime for a high-volume production line in Linwood, PA, keeping PLC-driven systems, VFDs, and 480V electrical circuits running at peak reliability. You will join a small maintenance team of 4 technicians reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, working day shift 6AM-2:30PM, Mon-Fri. This role stands apart by prioritizing mechanical mastery while expanding your electrical troubleshooting skills on modern controls. You will see immediate impact through proactive preventive maintenance and become the go-to person for complex mechanical failures.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Execute preventive maintenance schedules on production equipment, reducing unplanned downtime by 20% in your first 90 days.
  • 2Troubleshoot and repair mechanical breakdowns, including gearboxes, conveyors, and hydraulics, using root cause analysis.
  • 3Diagnose electrical faults on PLC-controlled systems, VFDs, and 480V circuits, ensuring safe and quick resolution.
  • 4Respond to equipment failures and complete work orders within a 4-hour window, prioritizing critical production assets.
  • 5Perform facility repairs, including drywall patching, painting, lighting replacement, and plumbing/compressed air fixes.
  • 6Drive 5S and continuous improvement initiatives by maintaining a clean, organized shop and documenting maintenance actions.
  • 7Support parts inventory by tracking usage and suggesting reorder points to avoid stockouts.
  • 8Conduct safety inspections daily and immediately address hazards, complying with all company policies.

Requirements8

  • 13+ years maintaining production machinery in a manufacturing plant.
  • 2Strong mechanical troubleshooting, including bearings, belts, chains, and pneumatics.
  • 3Working knowledge of PLC logic, VFD parameters, and 480V three-phase systems.
  • 4Basic plumbing and compressed air system repair skills.
  • 5Ability to read schematics and equipment manuals.
  • 6High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or apprenticeship preferred.
  • 7Experience with preventive maintenance, Lean, 5S, and root cause analysis preferred.
  • 8Welding certification a plus.
