Engineering Manager, AI Platform & Multi-Cloud Delivery
Overview
Lead a software engineering team building a technically ambitious enterprise AI platform across multi-cloud and on-prem environments. Own people, processes, and delivery systems while contributing hands-on technical work ~50% of the time. Drive sprint discipline, incident response, and cross-functional communication to align engineering with business goals. Collaborate with CTO and product leadership to balance feature delivery with long-term maintainability and architectural excellence.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team, owning performance, growth, and day-to-day productivity across sprints and milestones
- 2Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives with rigor and consistency
- 3Own release communication ensuring the broader organization is informed of what was built, shipped, and changed with each release
- 4Establish and mature incident response protocols with clear internal communication to sales, CS, and leadership
- 5Partner with CTO to prioritize engineering work based on business impact, debt, and resources
- 6Collaborate with product to balance feature delivery with technical excellence and maintainability
- 7Own production deployment oversight ensuring quality, documentation, and rollback standards before production
- 8Build and enforce code review standards prioritizing quality, security, and architectural consistency
- 9Remove blockers and facilitate team productivity through daily standups, 1:1s, and cross-team coordination
- 10Establish architecture decision documentation and release notes across the org and track velocity and delivery metrics
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 210+ years of software engineering experience including 3+ years in an engineering management or technical lead role
- 3Proven track record building and maturing engineering processes in fast-moving environments with limited playbooks
- 4Experience leading sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative delivery using Agile methodologies
- 5Demonstrated ability to establish release management, code review, and documentation standards across a team
- 6Experience building and owning incident response processes with cross-functional communication
- 7Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and multi-cloud or hybrid deployments
- 8Ability to contribute hands-on technical work while leading people and delivery
- 9Experience partnering with product leadership to align priorities with business outcomes
- 10Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate development workflows with sound judgment
Salary Insight
$180 - $220k per year
