AI Delivery Lead Architect
Overview
Lead architect designing AI solution architecture and challenging engineering decisions while being commercially fluent. This leadership delivery role requires depth in AI system design. Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle from scoping to hypercare.
What You'll Do14
- 1Demand shaping and prioritization by running intake for AI use-case requests assessing business value feasibility and data readiness
- 2Translate ambiguous business problems into scoped requirements success criteria and technical designs for execution
- 3Define target architecture for AI products including agent design retrieval strategy model selection integration points and data flows
- 4Set and enforce architectural standards reusable patterns and build-versus-buy decisions across the AI portfolio
- 5Evaluate models platforms and vendors owning technical cases behind each selection
- 6Own full delivery lifecycle including scoping estimation sprint planning dependency management risk mitigation release and hypercare
- 7Define acceptance criteria for probabilistic systems including evaluation sets accuracy thresholds latency budgets and fallback behavior
- 8Manage delivery risk actively escalate early and keep commitments realistic against engineering capacity
- 9Serve as primary interface for business sponsors running discovery sessions demos steering reviews and executive status reporting
- 10Calibrate stakeholder expectations on AI capabilities and manage gap between demo and production
- 11Shepherd solutions through security legal privacy and responsible AI review maintaining documentation of model use data handling and approved use cases
- 12Define and track benefit metrics adoption time saved quality improvement cost avoided and report outcomes against original business case
- 13Own AI platform and inference cost management including budget forecasting and per-workload cost attribution
- 14Partner with enablement and change management teams to drive post-launch adoption
Requirements11
- 1Prior hands-on engineering or data background
- 2Experience with Azure AI Foundry AWS Bedrock Google Vertex AI or comparable enterprise AI platforms
- 3Familiarity with AI governance frameworks
- 4Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating commercial terms
- 5Product management experience or formal certification in Agile PMP or TOGAF
- 6Experience building an AI delivery function from early or ad hoc state
