Engineer in Training JDS Consulting
Overview
Lead collaborative efforts to support JDS Consulting's long-term vision of becoming a premier provider of engineering and design services across the Southeast. This role involves overseeing technical aspects of project work and serving as a resource for engineering concepts. The Engineer in Training acts as an ambassador for the JDS brand while working with various departments.
What You'll Do9
- 1Support roles in site evaluations drafting and design for structural projects
- 2Submit work promptly for review before project delivery
- 3Perform long-term complex structural analysis for commercial projects
- 4Collaborate with Design team on technical project scopes
- 5Work with Field and Engineering Departments to oversee data collection reporting and presentation
- 6Lead initiatives toward JDS's long-term vision of structural engineering services
- 7Oversee interpretation approval of deliverables on specialty projects
- 8Coordinate with Field and Engineering Departments for project execution
- 9Maintain excellent communication skills for data conveyance internally and externally
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from US accredited university
- 2Passed FE exam and submitted for EI status with NC Board of Engineering
- 31-2 years construction experience
- 4Coursework and experience in concrete and steel design
- 5Exposure to AutoCAD with project experience
- 6Knowledge of engineering resources like ACSE7-10 APA ACI and building codes
- 7Proficiency with Microsoft and Google applications
- 8Excellent organizational skills communication and teamwork abilities
- 9Verbal and written communication skills for data conveyance
- 10Time-management and attention to detail
