Civil Engineer (EIT) - Infrastructure Design
Overview
You will own the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater facilities, utilities, and drainage systems, for municipal, commercial, and industrial clients. 2+ years of experience in civil design and construction and a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering are required. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers at TRC, a global consulting firm. This role offers a clear path to PE licensure and the chance to work on high-impact energy and infrastructure projects.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design water transmission lines, gravity sanitary sewer mains, force mains, and other utilities using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- 2Develop drainage designs and hydraulic models, applying hydrology principles to ensure flood mitigation.
- 3Prepare project plans, specifications, and cost estimates for infrastructure projects.
- 4Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to collect data and assess existing conditions.
- 5Coordinate with contractors and review material submittals during construction.
- 6Support senior staff in project scheduling, budgeting, and technical memorandum preparation.
- 7Assist in the planning and modeling of water and wastewater treatment plant facilities.
- 8Ensure compliance with engineering best practices and client standards across all deliverables.
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- 22+ years of experience in civil infrastructure design or construction.
- 3Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and GIS software.
- 4Active Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 5Valid driver's license and physical ability to perform field work.
- 6Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 7Interest in long-term growth toward PE licensure.
