Overview
The Assistant Nurse Manager oversees emergency department night shift operations at Shawnee Mission. This role leads a team of nurses delivering patient care across a 24 hour facility. You will drive clinical excellence and support staff development while maintaining high standards of safety and service.
What You'll Do11

- 2Develop and implement venous access protocols and infusion therapy plans
- 3Mentor staff through precepting and continuous education programs

- 7Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care
- 8Manage scheduling including rotating night and office shifts

Requirements8
- 1Associate's degree in Nursing required with Bachelor's preferred
- 2Minimum 1 year charge nurse experience preferred
- 3Valid RN license and current certifications including BLS CPR
- 4Specialized certifications such as CRNI and PEARS recommended
- 5Proven leadership abilities with independent decision making capability
- 6Strong communication skills and experience with EHR systems
- 7Physical stamina to work night shifts and occasional weekends
