Embedded Software Engineer 3 - Real-Time Systems
Overview
Build the software that powers real-time, mission-critical embedded systems at Mind Ware Inc. You will own the full software lifecycle, from requirements through integration and test, working hands-on with C/C++ and RTOS in a collaborative team environment. Your code directly impacts system performance in real time, and you will grow across the full lifecycle while shipping production-grade firmware.
What You'll Do6
- 1Design and implement embedded software modules in C/C++ for real-time systems, owning features from requirements to test.
- 2Debug and resolve issues in complex embedded systems using JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers to ensure reliability.
- 3Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests for RTOS based applications, driving code quality and coverage.
- 4Collaborate with hardware engineers to validate software against board schematics and datasheets.
- 5Ship production-ready firmware for the first 90 days, improving system performance and stability.
- 6Document software designs and maintain code repositories using Git and Jira.
Requirements6
- 15+ years of experience in embedded software development with C/C++ and RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, VxWorks).
- 23+ years of experience with real-time systems and hardware-software integration.
- 3Proficiency with ARM or x86 architectures and debugging tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- 4Experience with communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN.
- 5Proven ability to read schematics and datasheets for hardware bring-up.
- 6Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
