
Embedded C++ Developer - Dallas, TX Contract
Overview
You will own the design, prototyping, and delivery of embedded software for the next generation of devices at SSV Technologies Inc. You will work with C++ on real-time systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams including product owners, architects, and QA. This role stands out because you will lead code reviews and unit testing efforts from day one in a long-term W2 contract. You will also have direct influence on feature execution alongside senior engineers in a highly technical environment.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design and prototype embedded software features using C++ within the first 90 days.
- 2Develop and ship embedded firmware for new hardware platforms, focusing on reliability and performance.
- 3Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality through rigorous unit testing with tools like Google Test.
- 4Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to define and deliver features.
- 5Debug and optimize embedded systems using JTAG, Oscilloscopes, and Logic Analyzers.
- 6Integrate with RTOS and Linux environments for embedded software.
- 7Drive the execution of features from requirements to production, ensuring alignment with technical specifications.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics & Communications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 23+ years of experience in embedded software development with C++.
- 3Experience in design, prototyping, and unit testing for embedded devices.
- 4Proven ability to execute features by collaborating with cross-functional teams, product owners, and architects.
- 5High proficiency with Git, CMake, and Embedded Linux.
- 6Experience with ARM architectures and RTOS such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
- 7Knowledge of UART, I2C, SPI, and CAN communication protocols.
- 8Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
