Overview
You will assemble electro-mechanical components and subassemblies for a manufacturing team in Boston, MA, on 1st shift. You will own wire preparation, soldering, crimping, and connector termination to IPC and J-STD standards. You will work with precision components under a microscope, ensuring quality and compliance. What You'll Do6
- 1Assemble electro-mechanical components and subassemblies from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
- 2Prepare wires, perform soldering, crimping, and connector termination per IPC and J-STD workmanship standards.
- 3Conduct continuity, insulation, and functional testing throughout assembly to ensure product quality.
- 4Assemble, inspect, and handle small precision components under a microscope while maintaining strict quality standards.
- 5Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- 6Document production activities and report quality or process issues to supervisors.
Requirements6
- 15+ years assembling electro-mechanical or electrical components in a manufacturing environment.
- 2Proficient in wire preparation, soldering, crimping, and connector processing.
- 3IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and J-STD-002 certification preferred but not required.
- 4Experience performing electrical testing: continuity, insulation, and functional testing of subassemblies.
- 5Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- 6Manual dexterity to assemble and inspect miniature components under a microscope.
