Electromechanical Technician, Ultrasonic Systems
Overview
As an Electromechanical Technician, you'll own the assembly and deployment of large-scale ultrasonic cleaning systems, wiring electrical panels and welding structural components. Working with a tight-knit engineering team, you'll troubleshoot PLC logic and mechanical transfer systems on industrial equipment. This role blends hands-on fabrication with advanced diagnostics, offering a clear path for auto mechanics to transition into industrial automation.
What You'll Do10
- 1Assemble electrical and mechanical systems, welding frames and mounting components per blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- 2Wire control panels, motors, and sensors, following UL standards and internal quality checks.
- 3Weld stainless steel tanks and support structures using MIG and TIG techniques to exact tolerances.
- 4Diagnose and repair faults in PLC programs and mechanical transfer systems during on-site commissioning.
- 5Use soldering irons, multimeters, and power tools to assemble circuit boards and harnesses.
- 6Read pneumatic and hydraulic schematics to route tubing and actuate cleaning mechanisms.
- 7Conduct final system checks, documenting test results and adjusting parameters to meet safety specs.
- 8Coordinate with engineers to refine assembly methods for repeatable high-volume output.
- 9Perform field service visits to troubleshoot and fix system issues at customer facilities.
- 10Maintain a clean, organized workspace, following 5S principles and safety protocols.
Requirements8
- 13+ years assembling or repairing electromechanical equipment, including wiring, welding, and soldering.
- 2Proficiency reading wiring diagrams, plumbing schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- 3Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication.
- 4Ability to interpret PLC ladder logic and troubleshoot control circuits (bonus: Allen Bradley or Siemens).
- 5Strong mechanical aptitude from auto, aviation, or industrial maintenance background.
- 6Comfort working with 220V and 480V systems, following NFPA 70E guidelines.
- 7Detail-oriented with a track record of minimizing rework and meeting deadlines.
- 8Willingness to travel up to 25% for on-site installations and repairs.
