You will own the execution of a portfolio of concurrent electrical projects from proposal to closeout, managing budgets, schedules, and teams. Reporting to regional leadership, you will direct project controls, purchasing, and financial performance across multiple sites. You will collaborate with clients, architects, and trade partners to ensure successful outcomes. This role stands out for its full lifecycle ownership and direct impact on profitability.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Negotiate contract revisions, changes, and additions with owners, architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • 2Build project controls, budget setup, schedules of values, and billing mechanisms with operational subordinates.
  • 3Drive major project purchases with operations and regional leadership, including buyout goals, submittals, and material releases.
  • 4Monitor project profitability through revenue, cost, and profit forecasting.
  • 5Evaluate construction methods to determine cost-effectiveness and respond to delays, weather, or emergencies.
  • 6Implement quality control programs and manage all closeout procedures, including documentation and record drawings.
  • 7Visit projects regularly to assess performance, progress, and quality.
  • 8Prepare schedules of values and manage billing to ensure positive cashflow.
  • 9Ensure safety and environmental policies are followed by all project personnel.
  • 10Develop relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners to ensure satisfaction.

Requirements9

  • 1BS in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 27+ years of electrical commercial construction experience with an electrical contractor.
  • 3Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-volume environment.
  • 4Strong organizational, critical thinking, judgment, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • 5Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and tools for electrical construction.
  • 6Strong budget tracking, labor tracking, and scheduling skills.
  • 7Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 8Exceptional computer skills.
  • 9Firm knowledge and fluency in estimating.
