Electrical Engineer, Power & Lighting Design (PE)
Overview
Own electrical system design for large-scale K-12, healthcare, and industrial projects at Ardurra Group, a multi-disciplinary engineering firm. What You'll Do8
- 1Design power distribution, grounding, and lighting systems for commercial, institutional, and educational facilities.
- 2Lead fire alarm and control system design, ensuring compliance with NEC, IBC, IECC, and NFPA codes.
- 3Manage electrical components of multi-discipline projects, including schedule, budget, and client communication.
- 4Mentor junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and quality control reviews.
- 5Analyze complex electrical engineering problems and propose effective solutions for existing and new buildings.
- 6Interface with architects, civil and MEP engineers, and clients to ensure seamless design coordination.
- 7Conduct field investigations and site visits to verify existing conditions and support construction.
- 8Review and approve electrical drawings and specifications to maintain high standards.
Requirements8
- 15-15 years of experience in electrical design and project management.
- 2Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- 3PE license required or the ability to pursue one.
- 4Proficiency in power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and equipment selection.
- 5Strong communication and writing skills for client reports and specifications.
- 6Skilled in Word and Excel for documentation and analysis.
- 7Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and ask for guidance when needed.
- 8Familiarity with NEC, IBC, IECC, and NFPA codes is essential.
