Senior Electrical Engineer, Mission Critical & Data Centers
Overview
Own the electrical design for high-profile projects such as mission critical data centers, academic facilities, and commercial buildings from concept through construction. You'll lead a team of engineers and designers while collaborating across disciplines in a hybrid role at our Newark, NJ office. This role offers the chance to break free from siloed work and drive innovation with Revit, SKM, and AGI 32.
What You'll Do6
- 1Lead project electrical engineering for new construction and renovations, from conceptual design to construction administration.
- 2Design power distribution, lighting, emergency and standby power systems for complex facilities.
- 3Develop specifications, legends, site plans, lighting plans, power plans, one-lines, riser diagrams, and load calculations.
- 4Perform quality control reviews at various design stages to ensure accuracy and code compliance.
- 5Guide the project electrical team, providing technical direction for construction documents.
- 6Conduct field visits, issue field reports, respond to RFIs, and review shop drawings during construction.
Requirements7
- 110+ years of related electrical engineering experience, with a focus on building systems.
- 2Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3Proficiency in Revit for BIM modeling and documentation.
- 4Experience with SKM for power system analysis and AGI 32 for lighting design.
- 5Knowledge of AMPCALC for cable ampacity calculations.
- 6Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- 7Willingness to work hybrid (2 days remote per week) from Newark, NJ.
