Overview
Northrop Grumman seeks an Electrical Circuit Design Engineer – Level 4 to design digital mixed signal hardware for spacecraft. The engineer will lead circuit design and mentor junior staff while contributing to mission-critical avionics systems.
What You'll Do15
- 1Design electronic circuits with digital mixed signal and analog functionality for spacecraft applications
- 2Select components with radiation qualities and interact with software groups to define interfaces
- 3Lead integration of diverse technologies into satellite systems
- 4Plan and oversee design activities providing technical guidance to junior engineers
- 5Participate in or lead design reviews and conduct peer deep-dive analyses
- 6Work with fabrication teams to establish board layout constraints and supervise layout personnel
- 7Define layout requirements and support board assembly through breadboard and prototype stages
- 8Select parts and resolve component-level issues using engineering principles
- 9Perform Worst-Case analysis, Part Stress analysis, FMEA, Signal Integrity, and Timing analysis
- 10Generate documentation and review packages for flight boards
- 11Develop test plans and debug avionics boards at bench level
- 12Support delivery of hardware to box-level assembly and testing
- 13Provide inputs for cost and schedule assessments during proposal development
- 14Operate within a multi-discipline engineering team and communicate technical findings
- 15Mentor junior engineers and guide major program completions
Requirements9
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons experience in electrical engineering
- 3U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance
- 48 years of professional experience with bachelor's degree
- 5Preferred: extensive technical expertise in related disciplines
- 6Preferred: experience solving complex problems requiring ingenuity
- 7Required: ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- 8Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 9Passion for space technology and interest in sector developments
