
EHS Manager, Environmental Health and Safety
Overview
Own the EHS program for a 25-year-old IT and talent solutions firm, driving compliance across offices and client sites. You will report to the Operations Director and collaborate with HR, Facilities, and Client Delivery teams. This role stands out by combining hands-on safety audits with strategic program design in a fast-growing company.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build a site-specific EHS plan for the New York office within 90 days, covering emergency response, hazard communication, and PPE standards.
- 2Lead quarterly safety inspections across client locations, documenting findings and tracking corrective actions to closure.
- 3Drive incident investigation and root cause analysis, implementing preventive measures to reduce risk.
- 4Deliver EHS training to all employees, including new hire orientation and annual refresher courses.
- 5Manage OSHA recordkeeping and reporting, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- 6Audit contractor safety programs and integrate them with company policies.
- 7Develop and maintain EHS documentation, including Job Safety Analyses and chemical inventory logs.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of EHS experience in corporate or industrial settings, with OSHA knowledge.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety, or related field.
- 3Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) preferred.
- 4Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective actions.
- 5Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to train diverse teams.
- 6Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS management software.
- 7Willingness to travel up to 25% to client sites.
