The Early Voting Assistant Manager oversees the assistance for early voting operations in Fairfax County. This role involves managing 16 early voting sites and supporting a large team of election workers. What You'll Do14
- 1Assist in the overall management and operation of early voting satellite locations
- 2Uses Airtable and other similar software to manage operations
- 3Sets up and maintains data for accurate records
- 4Coordinates with 16 early voting sites for reservations and equipment deliveries
- 5Manages budget and expense tracking for early voting
- 6Analyzes voter turnout and engagement data
- 7Helps manage approximately 250-300 early voting election workers
- 8Collaborates in assigning election officers based on experience and legal requirements
- 9Prepares forms and supplies and writes instructional manuals
- 10Ensures timely delivery and return of voting equipment
- 11Handles escalated issues from voters or election officers
- 12Ensures compliance with local state and federal regulations
- 13Develops contingency plans for equipment malfunctions or site closures
- 14Performs other duties as assigned by the Deputy Registrar
Requirements13
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 25+ years administrative support experience
- 3Experience with Excel Airtable or similar software
- 4Supervisory experience
- 5Understanding of election procedures and policies
- 6Ability to work evenings until 7:30 p.m. and weekends
- 7Background check clearance
- 8Registered voter in Virginia
- 9Physical stamina for walking standing and lifting up to 30 lbs
- 10Strong organizational and coordination skills
- 11Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Airtable
- 12Experience developing strategic contingency plans
- 13Willingness to work extensive overtime during elections
