Overview

You will own voter outreach for the 2026 Primary and General Election cycle, driving door-to-door conversations that shape voter participation across Tampa. Working with Ven Vamos Strategies, you will join a grassroots team focused on public engagement and campaign work. You will use campaign-provided tools like MiniVAN to record voter responses and meet daily goals. This role offers flexible schedules, performance incentives, and hands-on experience in political organizing.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Conduct door-to-door voter outreach in assigned neighborhoods, covering 30+ households per shift.
  • 2Educate voters on candidates, issues, and election information, using MiniVAN to track responses.
  • 3Record voter responses accurately with the campaign's mobile app, ensuring data integrity after each conversation.
  • 4Meet daily and weekly outreach goals, adjusting tactics based on real-time feedback from field managers.
  • 5Attend campaign trainings and team meetings to refine messaging and learn new Get-Out-The-Vote strategies.
  • 6Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with voters, representing the campaign with respect and clarity.
  • 7Follow all campaign and election guidelines, including data privacy and canvassing routes.
  • 8Report daily progress to the field manager, flagging any issues with voter contact or safety.
  • 9Support peer canvassers by sharing best practices for engaging diverse communities.

Requirements9

  • 11+ year of canvassing, sales, customer service, or community outreach experience.
  • 2Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout assigned turf, including Tampa metro areas.
  • 3Smartphone capable of running canvassing applications, such as MiniVAN or VAN.
  • 4Strong communication and interpersonal skills for door-to-door interactions.
  • 5Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing canvassing routes.
  • 6Must pass a background check, including a criminal record review.
  • 7Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, without sponsorship.
  • 8Physical ability to walk for extended periods, up to 6-8 hours per shift, and carry campaign literature weighing 10-15 lbs.
  • 9Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat and rain.
