Community Canvasser $21-22/hr + Bonuses - Clean Energy Advocacy
Overview
We seek passionate advocates to champion clean energy initiatives across Pittsburgh and Beaver Falls. This role involves direct voter engagement promoting battery energy storage systems while supporting utility-scale projects. Candidates will drive community involvement and policy advocacy. Opportunities exist for leadership growth and competitive compensation.
What You'll Do11
- 1Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
- 2Deliver a compelling campaign message collect complete survey answers and persuade voters to sign a clean energy pledge
- 3Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
- 4Follow the campaign`s safety protocols
- 5Manage a small group of canvassers check in periodically and debrief at day end
- 6Ensure each canvasser has all necessary materials
- 7Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative tasks
- 8Lead shifts and coordinate field operations
- 9Drive community outreach campaigns and maintain positive relationships
- 10Support policy development related to renewable energy initiatives
- 11Foster inclusive environments that respect diverse perspectives
Requirements10
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading complex outreach programs
- 3CPC Card certification preferred
- 4AWS Certified experience beneficial
- 55+ years experience with data tools
- 6Strong communication skills demonstrated through multiple interactions
- 7Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- 8Commitment to equity inclusion and social responsibility
- 9Previous canvassing experience appreciated but not required
- 10Proficiency with CRM platforms essential for tracking outreach efforts
Salary Insight
$44 - $46k per year
