Overview
Temporary seasonal role operating the Agilis envelope sorting machine during the 2026 election cycle. Stand for long shifts while managing a high volume of ballot envelopes. Coordinate with the Signature Verification Project Manager and election judges to keep sorting on schedule. Gain hands-on experience with election equipment and logistics in a county government setting.
What You'll Do8
- 1Operate the Agilis machine's computer control interface to run envelope sorting sessions.
- 2Load envelopes into the feeder and remove sorted envelopes to maintain continuous workflow.
- 3Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and software issues with the Agilis system as they arise.
- 4Transfer trays of ballot envelopes between processing teams to keep operations moving.
- 5Assist Signature Verification judges with research and envelope reconciliation tasks.
- 6Communicate with the Project Manager and election judges on timing, progress, and support needs.
- 7Perform daily maintenance on the Agilis machine, including cleaning and minor adjustments.
- 8Support other election tasks as directed by the Voter Systems Trainer or Elections staff.
Requirements8
- 1High School or GED required.
- 21+ seasons of experience with computers and machinery, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 31+ seasons working in a warehouse environment with heavy lifting and standing.
- 4Experience in elections or with elections equipment is highly desirable.
- 5Ability to lift, carry, pull, or push up to 50 lbs frequently and use carts for loads over 50 lbs.
- 6Capability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motion tasks.
- 7Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions professionally and diplomatically.
- 8Comfortable multi-tasking and adapting to changing environments and schedules, including overtime or weekends.
