Overview
Seasonal Survey Assistant role supporting field survey crew on residential construction sites. Own data collection and boundary staking tasks. Provide training and exposure to land surveying practices from May through December.
What You'll Do11
- 1Assist field survey technicians with daily surveying tasks on active construction sites
- 2Collect accurate field data using surveying instruments following procedures
- 3Support staking property boundaries and construction limits
- 4Perform setup and breakdown of equipment and carry tools
- 5Maintain safe and organized work area
- 6Travel with crew between office and job sites
- 7Follow safety guidelines on heavy earthwork construction sites
- 8Learn land surveying concepts under experienced professionals
- 9Work outdoors 90-95% of time in various weather conditions
- 10Contribute positively in a team environment
- 11Develop attention to detail for data collection and boundary staking
Requirements7
- 10-1 years of surveying experience preferred
- 2Ability to work safely on active construction sites
- 3Willingness to work outdoors 90-95% of time
- 4Reliable early morning availability starting at 7:00 a.m.
- 5Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus
- 6Familiarity with Civil 3D is a plus
- 7Experience using surveying equipment is desirable
