Driver/Warehouse Associate, Construction NYC
Overview
You will own warehouse operations and delivery logistics for a growing construction company in New York City. You will receive and organize all incoming material, load deliveries for supervisors, and make local pickups from suppliers like Home Depot. You will drive a Ford Transit medium roof van across all five boroughs. This full-time role offers a steady schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m., with immediate start. You will work independently, managing your routes and material handling with precision.
What You'll Do7
- 1Receive deliveries at the warehouse and put away all material, maintaining a clean and organized inventory system.
- 2Load material for deliveries to company supervisors, ensuring accuracy and proper securing of cargo.
- 3Pick up material as needed from local suppliers, including Home Depot, using a Ford Transit medium roof van.
- 4Drive safely to all five boroughs of NYC, navigating traffic and adhering to delivery schedules.
- 5Lift and carry up to 60 pounds throughout the day, following safety guidelines.
- 6Maintain the delivery vehicle, checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and cleanliness daily.
- 7Communicate with warehouse manager and supervisors to prioritize urgent material requests.
Requirements7
- 1Clean Driver License with a motor vehicle report run prior to hiring.
- 2Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- 3Must speak fluent ENGLISH.
- 4Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical labor.
- 5Comfortable driving a Ford Transit medium roof van and operating in NYC traffic.
- 6Experience in warehouse or delivery roles preferred but not required.
- 7Must pass a background check and provide professional references.
