Overview
You will own package delivery routes in Nassau and Queens, driving a Sprinter-type van and handling up to 70 pounds per parcel. You will represent the company as a customer-facing field associate, ensuring every order arrives on time and safely. What You'll Do10
- 1Drive a Sprinter-type van to deliver packages to customers in Nassau and Queens within set timeframes.
- 2Follow strict safety standards on and off the road, including daily vehicle inspections.
- 3Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner.
- 4Use handheld technology to track deliveries, manage progress, and resolve obstacles.
- 5Load, sort, and prepare your delivery route to meet customer promises.
- 6Communicate with customers by phone or text to alert them of delivery arrival.
- 7Maintain communication with management to stay informed of route or schedule changes.
- 8Assist team members in completing deliveries to exceed customer expectations.
- 9Prepare reports and documents related to deliveries, and debrief at end of route.
- 10Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
Requirements10
- 121+ years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- 2Valid driver's license within the state of employment.
- 3Skilled and confident driver comfortable maneuvering and parking a large vehicle.
- 4Ability to lift, push, pull, and move boxes up to 70 pounds each.
- 5Physical capability to lift, bend, reach above head, kneel, crouch, or stretch during shifts up to 12 hours.
- 6Good vision to see details at a distance and up close.
- 7Capacity to shift between activities and quickly respond to changing traffic and weather conditions.
- 8Ability to operate handheld devices, software programs, and navigation guides.
- 9Excellent customer service skills and a positive team-player attitude.
- 10Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful with strong time-management and communication skills.
