Seek dependable safety-focused Delivery Driver to support architectural millwork operations. Operate company vans and 26-foot box trucks across New York metropolitan area and interstate routes. Ensure timely deliveries and maintain vehicle compliance.
What You'll Do11
- 1Complete daily pickups from vendors and suppliers throughout New York City Long Island and surrounding metropolitan area
- 2Deliver architectural millwork materials tools and equipment to active construction job sites
- 3Perform periodic interstate trips between Long Island City NY and Kingston PA
- 4Safely operate company vans and 26-foot commercial box truck
- 5Assist with loading cargo securement and verification before transport
- 6Review pickup delivery instructions and communicate delays or schedule changes
- 7Conduct required vehicle inspections and report safety issues
- 8Maintain delivery paperwork inspection records logs and transportation documentation
- 9Follow company safety procedures and FMCSA/DOT regulations
- 10Keep vehicles clean safe and professional
- 11Interact professionally with vendors customers contractors and job-site personnel
Requirements10
- 1Valid Class B Commercial Driver License with appropriate vehicle qualifications
- 2Minimum 21 years old and legally qualified to drive commercial vehicles in interstate commerce
- 3Current DOT medical certificate and ability to maintain medical qualification
- 4Clean Motor Vehicle Record and compliance with company driving standards
- 5Completed pre-employment DOT controlled substances testing with negative results
- 6FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse eligibility
- 7Experience with commercial vans and 26-foot box trucks
- 8Knowledge of Hours-of-Service recordkeeping vehicle inspection cargo securement and commercial vehicle safety
- 9Previous experience in New York City Long Island and surrounding areas
- 10Strong attendance punctuality and professional communication skills
