Driver for Injured Patients, Part Time | Driver and Vehicle Requirements
Overview
Own a schedule that fits your life while helping injured workers attend appointments in Cambridge. You’ll drive a personal vehicle to transport patients, with rides scheduled in advance and wait time paid when approved. You’ll be compensated by the hour for wait time and receive per mile reimbursements. This role blends flexibility with community impact and requires a valid license and a recent model vehicle. The position is contract and onsite in Boston area.
What You'll Do5
- 1Drive patients to medical appointments in a personal sedan/SUV or minivan
- 2Maintain safety and professionalism while delivering reliable transportation
- 3Coordinate pickup times with scheduling team to ensure on‑time arrivals for patients
- 4Accurately record trip details and mileage for reimbursement and payroll
- 5Adhere to company policies and local regulations while representing Boomerang Transport
Requirements9
- 1Must be at least 25+ years old
- 2Have a valid driver’s license for the vehicle type operated
- 3Own an active auto insurance policy
- 4Own a cell phone plan; provide proof of 6 consecutive timely payments if prepaid
- 5Be a US citizen or resident alien with a TIN (SSN, EIN, or ITIN acceptable)
- 6Eligible to work on a contract basis in Massachusetts
- 7Vehicle must be a 4 door sedan, minivan, or SUV under 15 years old
- 8Must be able to pass onboarding, online training, and a knowledge quiz
- 9Commit to the onboarding steps including application, interview, training, and paperwork
