What You'll Do11
- 1Collect and analyze data for project plans and reports
- 2Design stormwater and erosion control systems using engineering software
- 3Analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models for transportation projects
- 4Permit with regulatory and water management agencies
- 5Prepare construction details and cost estimates
- 6Review calculations and drawings for compliance
- 7Assist in project scheduling and coordination
- 8Collaborate with subconsultants and professionals to deliver quality results
- 9Oversee design activities and mentor junior staff
- 10Perform professional and management duties as assigned
- 11Support roadway project development and civil engineering tasks
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering
- 2Valid Professional Engineering Licensure or acquisition within six months
- 34-6 years progressive drainage/water resources and TxDOT experience
- 4Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer Storm CAD ICPR HEC-RAS GIS SUDA
- 5Previous TxDOT drainage design experience and knowledge of TxDOT standards
- 6Pass drug screening and possess valid driver’s license
- 7Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- 8Master’s in Water Resources bonus points
