Distribution Supervisor, Warehouse & Logistics
Overview
The Distribution Supervisor owns end to end operations for an assigned area or shift in the warehouse to meet customer demand with accurate, on time deliveries. Manage staffing, training, tools, safety, productivity, and quality standards while controlling costs and improving morale. Lead a team across distribution activities and collaborate with warehouse leadership to align with DC goals. This role offers growth within a nationwide distribution network and a focus on safety and operational excellence.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead and motivate teammates to achieve department goals
- 2Schedule and assign work to department teammates and maintain paperwork
- 3Provide training and coaching to maintain an efficient workforce
- 4Enforce all distribution center policies and safety procedures
- 5Communicate goals and updates with warehouse leadership and teammates
- 6Ensure procedures meet productivity, quality, safety, and cost targets
- 7Promote a clean and safe work environment following standards
- 8Relieve other supervisors during vacations and cover varied shifts
- 9Operate required equipment after training within 30 days
- 10Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and downtime
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or GED required
- 2Bachelor's degree preferred
- 32 years of distribution warehouse experience
- 4Experience leading large numbers of warehouse staff
- 5Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
- 6Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 7Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- 8Able to read and understand English for job tasks
- 9Willingness to work early, late, and weekend shifts as needed
- 10Must be trained and certified to operate equipment within 30 days after hire
