Distribution Center Loader - Indianapolis GPC Genuine Parts
Overview
Manage staging shrink wrapping and loading operations for products across store numbers. This role drives palletization ensures accurate shipping and maintains warehouse safety standards. Experience scaling daily throughput is essential.
What You'll Do10
- 1Stage product on pallets shrink wrap to prevent loss and load pallets on trucks
- 2Inspect trailers for suitability before loading
- 3Ensure correct parts are placed on the correct truck p acks the right parts for delivery to the right customers with accuracy and speed map out the organization of loading customer orders from skids to trucks
- 4Operate pallet jack or forklift as needed
- 5Maintain product integrity through proper handling and storage
- 6Keep work area clean to avoid potential accidents and allow for rapid loading
- 7Pull stock orders until time to load trucks as needed
- 8Assist with processing other DC shuttles
- 9Work safely following all procedures and regulations
- 10Perform all other duties assigned by management
Requirements11
- 1High School Diploma or 6 months equivalent work experience required
- 2Forklift certified preferred
- 3Regular reliable predictable attendance
- 4Ability to recognize and distinguish letters numbers both visually and aurally
- 5Basic computer APGJCe skills
- 6Capable of lifting merchandise up to 60 lbs
- 7Able to push pull up to 300 lbs using mechanical aids
- 8Bend stoop to floor level shelves and reach eight feet with stool or ladder
- 9Get in and out of truck back with parts using ramp when necessary
- 10Stand and walk entire shift
- 11Experience with hazardous materials and extreme weather exposure
