Dispatcher/Customer Service, Plumbing Dispatch & Scheduling
Overview
You will own dispatch and customer service for a residential plumbing team, scheduling 5-10 plumbers per day across Dallas. You handle inbound calls, log service requests in the database, and coordinate emergency response. This role suits a dependable, people-focused individual who thrives in a high-volume environment. You report directly to the operations manager and have 3+ years of dispatch experience. Unlike call-center roles, you build real relationships with homeowners and field techs.
What You'll Do7
- 1Answer inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat, resolving service questions and scheduling requests.
- 2Record customer information and service details in the CSD database with accuracy.
- 3Dispatch plumbers to work orders based on priority, location, and skill set, adjusting schedules as emergencies arise.
- 4Engage clients with active listening and professional tone, de-escalating concerns and setting clear expectations.
- 5Coordinate with field techs to confirm arrival times and capture completion notes.
- 6Monitor job board and update statuses in real-time, ensuring no missed appointments.
- 7Support dispatchers during peak hours by managing multi-line phone system and chat queues.
Requirements7
- 13+ years dispatching service technicians, ideally in plumbing or home services.
- 23+ years customer service experience handling high call volumes.
- 3High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- 4Proficiency with CSD or similar dispatch software.
- 5Ability to type 40+ WPM with accurate data entry.
- 6Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including some weekends.
- 7Demonstrated reliability and composure under pressure.
