What You'll Do9
- 1Deliver therapy services within your licensed scope of practice, including evaluations, screenings, and case management.
- 2Build and manage staff schedules to ensure coverage, monitor admissions, assign evaluations, and develop treatment plans.
- 3Track minimum data set (MDS) assessment periods and audit documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- 4Maintain staff productivity and optimize billable vs. non-billable time to meet fiscal targets.
- 5Lead recruitment, hiring, and retention of therapy staff, including orientation and ongoing training.
- 6Develop and implement department goals, policies, and procedures aligned with community needs.
- 7Ensure staff compliance using automated therapy management tools and monitor credentialing and corrective actions.
- 8Attend facility meetings including stand-up, Medicare, and care planning to align rehab goals.
- 9Partner with leadership to drive performance management and staff development.
Requirements7
- 1Current and valid state licensure as a Registered Therapist or Therapy Assistant (OT, PT, SLP, or PTA).
- 23+ years of experience in a rehabilitation leadership role in skilled nursing or senior living settings.
- 3Proven ability to manage PDPM and Medicaid case-mix for accurate reimbursement.
- 4Experience using EMR systems for therapy documentation and tracking.
- 5Strong leadership skills with a track record of building, developing, and retaining high-performing teams.
- 6Knowledge of regulatory compliance, including MDS and care planning processes.
- 7Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive environment.
