Director of Clinical & Quality Compliance, Dialysis
Overview
Own clinical and quality compliance for acute dialysis services across the DFW and Central region. Direct a team of clinical staff while enforcing CMS, JCAHO, and FDA standards, plus HIPAA and ICD-10 coding rules. You will drive audits, training, and quality initiatives that directly impact patient safety and regulatory readiness. Reporting to upper management, you will shape compliance strategy in a role that blends clinical expertise with operational leadership.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead development and execution of clinical compliance strategies aligned with federal regulations including CMS, JCAHO, FDA, and other accreditation bodies.
- 2Oversee healthcare compliance programs to ensure adherence to HIPAA, ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding, and medical law requirements.
- 3Monitor regulatory updates on Medicare and managed care policies; interpret impact and implement necessary changes.
- 4Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to improve clinical documentation, billing, EMR/EHR management, and quality assurance.
- 5Develop training programs to educate staff on compliance protocols, medical terminology, data analysis, and healthcare regulations.
- 6Monitor daily clinical operations and recommend improvements to upper management and the Governing Board.
- 7Ensure patient care protocols align with best practices, regulatory, state, and accreditation requirements, and safety guidelines.
- 8Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, track performance indicators, and report findings to upper management.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of dialysis experience.
- 23+ years in a clinical leadership or management role preferred.
- 3BSN or Bachelor's degree in healthcare field preferred.
- 4Certification in Nephrology Nursing or Quality preferred.
- 5Strong organizational, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
- 6Demonstrated leadership competencies and adaptability to changing priorities.
- 7Ability to collaborate with teams and participate in quality improvement activities.
- 8Strong verbal and written communication skills.
