What You'll Do7
- 1Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- 2Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing for changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality
- 3Prepare nutritious meals aligned with individual care plans and dietary restrictions; ensure cleanliness of the dining area and kitchen
- 4Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document medication administration meticulously to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- 5Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s or dementia by implementing specialized care strategies and engaging them in meaningful activities
- 6Maintain a safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and adherence to safety procedures; assist with light housekeeping tasks as needed
- 7Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop and update personalized care plans that meet each resident’s unique needs
Requirements6
- 1Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
- 2Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and emergency response procedures such as CPR and first aid
- 3Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when necessary
- 4Strong communication skills to effectively work with residents, families, healthcare teams, and community resources
- 5Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect resident privacy and confidentiality
- 6Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends or overnight hours as required for 24/7 care environments
