Dietary Director at PARK Senior Villas: Culinary Leadership in Memory Care
Overview
Own the dietary program for a memory care and assisted living community with hands on menu development and budget management. Lead kitchen operations four days per week with one day reserved for quality audits and training. Partner with caregivers and other departments to deliver safe, high quality meals that respect resident dignity and rights.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and lead the daily operation of the dietary department ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
- 2Design menus for memory care including regular, always available, snacks, and delivery options to meet resident needs
- 3Supervise staff, assign tasks, monitor performance, provide coaching, and participate in recruitment and onboarding
- 4Prepare food and supply orders, audit stock levels, manage inventories, and ensure sufficient food and equipment
- 5Coordinate with health and wellness director to implement diet changes and update resident records in a timely manner
- 6Ensure cleanliness and safety of food service areas and equipment according to fire safety, infection control, and chemical safety policies
- 7Communicate policies and standards to staff and hold them accountable for food handling and storage
- 8Maintain the dietary budget and track food, supply, and labor costs while coordinating with other departments
- 9Participate in staff meetings and keep leadership updated on dietary operations
- 10Plan and support parties or special meals and be available for community dietary needs
Requirements6
- 1Dietary/Culinary Degree with supervisory experience in healthcare or hospitality
- 2At least three years in dietary roles with one year of supervisory experience
- 3State certification or service license in dietary services
- 4Experience with budgets, orders, and inventory audits
- 5Proficiency with computers and readiness to obtain fingerprint clearance, TB, First Aid & CPR
- 6Ability to work onsite in Phoenix, AZ and meet local/state regulations
