You own the architecture and middleware strategy for our digital platforms in San Jose, CA. This role shifts focus from cloud administration to designing resilient application frameworks, distributed messaging systems, and data routing layers. What You'll Do9
- 1Design AWS-native application frameworks and middleware patterns for high-traffic digital platforms.
- 2Architect distributed messaging systems using Kafka and RabbitMQ to decouple services.
- 3Build data routing layers with API Gateway and Lambda to handle millions of requests per day.
- 4Define Kubernetes cluster topology and ingress strategies for microservice deployments.
- 5Develop infrastructure-as-code modules in Terraform to automate environment provisioning.
- 6Lead performance and resilience testing, including chaos engineering experiments on core services.
- 7Drive the migration of legacy monoliths to event-driven architectures within 90 days.
- 8Mentor developers on cloud-native patterns and Docker best practices.
- 9Collaborate with DevOps engineers to enforce security and compliance in CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements8
- 15+ years architecting web applications and DevOps platforms in AWS.
- 23+ years designing event-driven systems with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- 3Hands-on Kubernetes and Docker production experience.
- 4Strong Terraform and infrastructure-as-code background.
- 5Experience with API Gateway, Lambda, and serverless architectures.
- 6Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- 7Proven track record of leading architecture reviews and technical roadmaps.
- 8Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
