Development Lead Cloud Services Integration
Overview
NIRA, Inc. seeks a Development Lead to deliver software for a DOJ cloud-based digital evidence management program. The lead will manage an Agile team building custom services and COTS integrations on a FedRAMP High SaaS platform ensuring compliance throughout development from sprint planning to release.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead a team through sprint planning backlog refinement code review and delivery while staying hands-on in design and development
- 2Build and maintain custom services around the core SaaS platform including data export system adapters reporting analytics and production tracking synchronization
- 3Integrate enterprise COTS systems using REST APIs and event-driven patterns
- 4Establish engineering standards enforcing secure coding practices peer review automated test coverage and CI/CD pipeline discipline
- 5Manage release execution including regression testing deployment planning and rollback procedures preserving existing functionality under change control
- 6Translate architecture into implementation plans estimate effort and report progress risks and issues to program leadership and the government project manager
- 7Author and maintain the Software Development Plan technical documentation and developer contributions to training materials
- 8Triage and resolve defects driving root cause analysis and corrective action for production issues
- 9Demonstrate strong hands-on backend and API development skills using Python Java or Node.js
- 10Work command of CI/CD tooling automated testing and DevSecOps practices SAST DAST and dependency scanning
- 11Deliver in Agile Scrum environments leading sprints and providing stakeholder reporting
Requirements12
- 115 years of software development experience including at least 3 years leading development teams or serving as technical lead
- 2Strong hands-on backend and API development skills (e.g., Python Java or Node.js) including REST API design and data persistence
- 3Experience developing and deploying cloud-native services on AWS
- 4Working command of CI/CD tooling automated testing and DevSecOps practices (SAST/DAST dependency scanning)
- 5Track record of delivery in Agile Scrum environments including sprint leadership and stakeholder reporting
- 6Experience integrating with enterprise COTS platforms via APIs
- 7U.S. citizenship required ability to obtain and maintain a DOJ High-Risk Public Trust Tier 4 background investigation
- 8Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or related field
- 9Preferred: Federal delivery experience especially with DOJ familiarity with FedRAMP High environments and DOJ SDLC/Agile guidance
- 10Experience with event streaming messaging and high-volume data processing
- 11Familiarity with digital evidence forensics or eDiscovery platforms
- 12Certifications such as AWS Certified Developer/DevOps Engineer Certified Scrum Master or Security+
