Delivery Manager - Agile & AWS
Overview
You will own delivery execution for a key workstream of the program, managing teams of 25-50 resources. You will ensure robust, well-architected solutions on AWS, coordinating the entire SDLC from planning to production. You will align delivery with program objectives using AI-assisted tools and manage risks, dependencies, and commitments. This role demands a leader who thrives on collaboration and drives measurable outcomes in a hybrid environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead technical delivery to ensure a robust, well-architected cloud solution meeting customer objectives.
- 2Manage the entire SDLC, including production operations, POAM, and bug fixes, using AI-enabled processes.
- 3Plan and manage workstream scope, schedule, deliverables, risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies.
- 4Coordinate Agile team execution, sprint planning, release planning, backlog readiness, and delivery reporting.
- 5Remove blockers by working with product owners, scrum masters, architects, business analysts, DevSecOps, and clients.
- 6Track milestones, action items, staffing needs, quality indicators, and delivery metrics.
- 7Prepare status updates, leadership briefings, risk summaries, and decision materials.
- 8Support release readiness, UAT coordination, production deployment planning, and post-release follow-up.
- 9Align delivery practices with program governance, compliance, and client expectations.
- 10Use AI-assisted planning and reporting tools to improve forecasting, status reporting, and risk analysis.
Requirements10
- 110+ years of IT delivery, project management, workstream management, or Agile program delivery experience.
- 2Experience managing scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications across technical teams.
- 3Experience with Agile delivery, sprint planning, release planning, metrics, and status reporting.
- 4Strong communication, facilitation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- 5Experience working with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, QA, security, and operations.
- 6Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
- 7Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- 8Willing to work a hybrid schedule (3-4 days) in Reston, VA & client locations in Washington D.C. area.
- 9Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance.
- 10Preferred: Federal IT modernization or financial-regulatory program experience, AWS-based delivery, DevSecOps, or large-scale modernization, familiarity with AI-assisted tools.
