What You'll Do11
- 1Supervise employees providing recreation services including senior services aquatics athletics youth programs and operations while responding to public inquiries and complaints
- 2Develop budget recommendations using data and monitor division expenditures
- 3Ensure financial document accuracy and enforce city policies
- 4Serve as leader in recreation leadership groups participating in advisory board meetings and supporting communication initiatives
- 5Coordinate facility management with maintenance division and oversee capital improvement projects
- 6Mentor staff develop leadership capabilities and design training programs
- 7Collaborate with director on strategic planning and program coordination
- 8Oversee performance evaluations and foster a collaborative work environment
- 9Support budget coordination across community services departments and manage grant opportunities
- 10Lead data collection and analysis to improve program effectiveness

Requirements11
- 1Master’s Degree in Parks & Recreation Management/Public Administration or bachelor’s degree with seven years of progressive recreation management experience
- 2Five years of supervision experience including at least three years leading teams
- 3Valid Colorado Operator’s license and clean driving record
- 4CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within three months
- 5Bilingual Spanish proficiency preferred
- 6Ability to establish positive working relationships and lead teams effectively
- 7Strong communication writing and public presentation skills
- 8Experience with budget management and grant writing
- 9Knowledge of recreation regulations and youth safety requirements
- 10Proven track record of problem solving and adapting to changing priorities
- 11Demonstrated commitment to integrity and professional conduct
