What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and maintain a 60min recare and 90min new patient appointment schedule to drive preventive care outcomes
  • 2Provide patient education and preventive screenings using Velscope/Vizilite and digital records to inform treatment plans
  • 3Collaborate with the doctor and team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based hygiene care and documentation
  • 4Maintain infection control, sterilization, and charting accuracy in Dentrix system
  • 5Support daily operations by managing patient flow and accurate billing for hygiene procedures
  • 6Contribute to practice growth through patient retention and preventive care planning
  • 7Participate in continuing education opportunities to advance clinical skills and knowledge
  • 8Assist in integrating new technologies and products like Arestin into appropriate treatment plans
  • 9Engage in 1:1 hygiene mentorship and networking opportunities within the Heartland Dental network
  • 10Deliver a positive patient experience that aligns with Heartland Dental values

Requirements10

  • 1Current dental hygienist license in Arizona
  • 2Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
  • 3Excellent knowledge of dentistry, hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation
  • 4CPR Certification
  • 5Preferred experience with Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, digital x-rays, and electronic medical records
  • 6Willingness to participate in ongoing training and skill development
  • 7Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform essential duties with or without accommodation
  • 8Availability for virtual or in-person training sessions throughout the year
  • 9TB test requirement prior to starting employment in dental offices
  • 10Demonstrated commitment to diverse, inclusive patient care and community health
