What You'll Do9

- 3Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth, ensuring accurate reimbursements.
- 4Maintain electronic health records in EHR systems, ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate data entry.
- 5Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing service details, appointment reminders, and follow-up instructions.
- 6Perform medical billing tasks including CPT and ICD-10 coding and Medicare claims processing to secure payments.
- 7Manage front desk administration: filing medical records, 10-key typing, and tracking office supplies.
- 8Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient care plans and ensure efficient patient flow.
- 9Support x-ray and sterilization procedures as needed, contributing to a safe clinical environment.
Requirements8
- 11+ years of front desk experience in a dental or healthcare setting.
- 2Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
- 3Experience with EHR platforms such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth.
- 4Knowledge of insurance procedures including claims submission, authorization, and Medicare guidelines.
- 5Medical coding skills with CPT and ICD-9/10 for billing accuracy.
- 6Strong organizational skills for scheduling, record keeping, and multitasking.
- 7Bilingual abilities preferred for serving diverse patients.
- 8Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation and communication.
