Overview
You will own patient flow and clinical support at a Houston dental practice, managing front desk duties and chairside assistance to keep operations smooth. You will handle Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Athenahealth for scheduling, insurance, and records. Working with a small healthcare team, you will ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation and sterilization protocols. This role offers paid training and growth in a collaborative clinical environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet patients warmly, manage check-in and check-out, and route multi-line phone calls with professionalism.
- 2Verify insurance coverage, perform eligibility checks, and process claims using Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Athenahealth.
- 3Schedule appointments efficiently, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily patient flow.
- 4Assist dental practitioners during procedures by preparing instruments, taking digital radiographs, and maintaining sterilization protocols.
- 5Manage patient records electronically using OpenDental, ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation.
- 6Handle billing tasks, including medical collection processes to secure timely payments.
- 7Organize medical records, file documents systematically, and update care plans and medical histories accurately.
- 8Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while providing exceptional patient service and addressing inquiries promptly.
Requirements5

- 2Bilingual abilities (Korean, English) are a plus for serving diverse patients.
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), typing (10 key), and health information management software.
- 4Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient service excellence in a healthcare setting.
- 5Previous experience with multi-line phone systems, filing systems, and front desk operations in a medical or dental environment.
