What You'll Do8

- 3Set up and select dental instruments, equipment, and materials for each procedure, maintaining sterile fields.
- 4Sterilize instruments and operatory surfaces per OSHA and CDC regulations, preventing cross-contamination.
- 5Document patient care in digital records with accuracy, updating charts and treatment notes.
- 6Handle lab tasks, including pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns, as directed by the dentist.
- 7Provide post-operative care instructions, reinforcing home care and follow-up schedules.
- 8Keep operatories stocked and organized, monitoring inventory levels and requesting supplies.
Requirements7
- 1Active Texas dental assistant license.
- 2Certification from a dental assisting training program.
- 32+ years of clinical dental assisting experience.
- 4Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
- 5Understanding of health and safety regulations, including OSHA.
- 6Experience with digital software for scheduling and patient records.
- 7Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction and teamwork.
