Registered Dental Assistant, Houston TX
Overview
You will own chairside support and front desk flow at Friendswood Smiles, a modern Houston dental office serving 3+ operatories daily. You will partner with a supportive team using Dentrix and Digital X-Ray technology. This role blends clinical and administrative work, giving you the chance to grow into leadership. What You'll Do8
- 1Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments using Autoclave before each patient
- 2Support the dentist chairside with 4-handed dentistry during procedures
- 3Capture and mount Digital X-Rays (PA, BW, PAN) with Dexis software
- 4Manage front desk duties: schedule appointments, verify insurance, and collect payments in Dentrix
- 5Assist with patient education on post-op care and oral hygiene
- 6Maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions
- 7Inventory dental supplies and reorder when stock runs low
- 8Take impressions and pour models using Alginate and Stone
Requirements7
- 12+ years chairside assisting experience in a general or family dental practice
- 2Active RDA license in Texas
- 3CPR certification current and on file
- 4Proficiency with Dentrix and Digital X-Ray systems
- 5Experience with 4-handed dentistry and Dental Terminology
- 6Ability to work Monday to Friday and weekends as needed
- 7Strong communication and patient-facing skills
