- 1Hardware Deployment Install server rails and mount servers in racks
- 2Rack switches PDUs and other infrastructure equipment
- 3Install and dress fiber and copper cabling
- 4Perform equipment labeling and asset tagging
- 5Follow rack elevation diagrams and deployment documentation
- 6Conduct cable management and rack organization
- 7Performs Moves Adds and Changes MACs
- 8Install networking gear and supporting infrastructure
- 9Perform initial hardware provisioning and firmware updates
- 10Conduct basic power-on checks and hardware verification
- 11Maintain accurate inventory and asset records
- 12Troubleshoot server and networking hardware breakfix
- 13Provide smart-hands support for customers and internal teams
- 14Assist with hardware diagnostics and basic troubleshooting
- 15Escalate complex issues to NOC Technicians or Engineers
- 16Document work completed through ticketing systems
- 17Customer and vendor support within the data center
- 18Ensure compliance with data center operational and safety procedures
Requirements14
- 1Basic knowledge of computer hardware or server components
- 2Familiarity with structured cabling fiber and copper
- 3Ability to follow diagrams rack elevations and written procedures
- 4Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- 5Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in rack environments
- 6Ability to work scheduled shifts including nights weekends or holidays
- 7Travel to other locations may be required
- 8Experience working in a data center or IT hardware environment
- 9Familiarity with Linux or Windows systems
- 10Basic networking knowledge IP addressing switches cables
- 11Experience using remote management tools such as IPMI iDRAC or KVM
- 12Experience with ticketing systems
- 13Physical requirement ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
- 14Work from ladders or within rack environments stand bend kneel and work on raised floors for extended periods
