Data Center Program Manager, Infrastructure & Capital Projects
Overview
You will own and deliver large-scale data center infrastructure projects in San Francisco, managing Capex and Opex budgets across security and applications. You'll lead cross-functional teams to drive project execution from initiation to closeout. This role demands 15+ years of experience and a PMP certification, with a focus on IT governance and configuration management. You'll work onsite with a global technology company, tackling complex challenges in a dynamic environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Drive end-to-end delivery of data center infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with IT governance frameworks and Capex budgets.
- 2Lead directory services and configuration management projects, coordinating with engineering teams on Active Directory and Ansible deployments.
- 3Manage security-related infrastructure and applications, including Firewalls, SIEM, and IAM systems, to meet compliance standards.
- 4Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and resource allocation using MS Project and Jira.
- 5Partner with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and success criteria, securing approval on budgets and timelines.
- 6Monitor project performance against Opex and Capex targets, reporting progress and risks to leadership.
- 7Mentor junior project managers and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- 8Facilitate change management and communication plans to ensure smooth adoption of new infrastructure solutions.
Requirements10
- 115+ years of project management experience in infrastructure, security, and applications.
- 2PMP certification required.
- 3Experience managing directory services projects (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).
- 4Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- 5Track record of leading security infrastructure initiatives, including Firewalls, SIEM, and IAM.
- 6Strong background in developing and executing IT governance processes.
- 7Expertise in Capex and Opex budgeting and financial tracking.
- 8Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and Jira for planning and reporting.
- 9Local to the San Francisco Bay Area and willing to work onsite.
