Cyber Security Engineer, IoT & OT Security
Overview
You will own security operations for IT, industrial IoT, and operational technology across the U.S. You will partner with IT, Risk, Security, and Audit teams to build compliance frameworks that protect the organization without slowing down operations. Your work will directly impact IoT and OT environments, bridging the gap between enterprise and plant floors. This role stands out because you will lead technology-driven transformation, not just monitor alerts.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and implement security controls for IoT and OT environments, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT policies.
- 2Drive compliance initiatives by collaborating with Risk and Audit teams, turning requirements into actionable security measures.
- 3Lead threat detection and incident response for operational technology, using tools like Splunk and Azure Sentinel.
- 4Build and maintain secure network architectures for SCADA and PLC systems, segmenting to reduce risk.
- 5Develop and enforce security policies that integrate with existing IT frameworks, covering NIST and ISO 27001 standards.
- 6Automate security monitoring and reporting, reducing manual effort and improving response times.
- 7Coordinate with OT engineers to patch and harden industrial control systems, minimizing downtime.
- 8Conduct risk assessments and penetration tests on IIoT devices and OT networks, documenting findings and remediation.
- 9Serve as the security advisor for technology-driven business process changes, ensuring security is embedded from day one.
Requirements9
- 15+ years in cyber security, with at least 2 years focused on OT or IoT environments.
- 2Hands-on experience with SCADA systems, PLC programming, and DCS platforms.
- 3Deep understanding of NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks and how to apply them to operational technology.
- 4Proven track record of leading security projects that involve cross-functional teams (IT, OT, Risk).
- 5Experience with security tools such as Splunk, Azure Sentinel, or Tenable in OT settings.
- 6Knowledge of network segmentation, firewalls, and secure remote access for OT networks.
- 7Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including audit and operations teams.
- 8Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or GICSP required.
- 9Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
